In seeking to build collective care, Hiwa has adapted an equitable pricing model to determine rates for services. This model invites you to choose a fee based on the scale that most closely describes your financial wellbeing. Please click here for our equitable pricing scales.

group presentations/trainings

Hiwa’s training fee is $250.00 per presentation or speaking engagement. After the first hour of presentation, clients are charged $50.00 per hour for the duration of the training. If you are a service provider, please contact us for information about Hiwa’s agency rate. 

Payment is accepted via Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover and due upon receipt of invoice.

Hiwa is an out-of-network provider; all services are self-pay. Most insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis to pay or reimburse for services. While we acknowledge the importance of mental health diagnoses, Hiwa’s philosophy is that recovering from trauma is a process that explores what is needed to move forward rather than a mental health disorder.

If you would like to be reimbursed from your insurance agency for mental health services, we can create a monthly superbill for you to submit. Please note: a mental health diagnosis is required for this option and final determinations for any diagnosis will be discussed with the client.

Are you a victim of a violent crime that took place in DC? The Crime Victims Compensation Program (CVCP) provides financial assistance to address psychological trauma. Hiwa accepts reimbursement from this program in exchange for therapy. Please visit here for more information on how to apply.
